At yesterday's mass, the gospel referenced the temptation of Jesus by the devil. The above referenced passage,(Luke 4:13), has left me wondering.
At what other times did the devil tempt Jesus again? Off hand, nothing from scripture comes to mind. Icon_nixweiss

I stand to be corrected by those able to furnish chapter and verse but I don't think we are specifically told about any other times that Jesus was tempted. It could, I suppose, be argued that Jesus was tempted in Gethsemane when he prayed that "this cup might pass from me" but offhand I cannot think of any occurrence recorded in the Gospels where it is recorded that Satan tempted Jesus. The fact that none are recorded does not prove that Jesus was never tempted. When he was being attacked by the Pharisees and Sadduccees, when he encountered lack of faith in Nazareth/Capernaum so performed no miracles there, when he was so outraged that he cleared the Temple courtyards, when he wept over Jerusalem I am sure that Jesus must have felt dispirited and disheartened. The importanmt point though is that he did not give up his ministry but continued in it because it was the Father's will.

I think we must not loose sight of the fact that Jesus Christ was fully human, he was the God man and because He was fully human he was tempted such as we were...but He new no sin
. . . For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. -Heb. 2:17, 4:15

The amazing thing (I find) is that there is a man (Jesus) in Heaven who understands all out trials and temptations

It does say that the devil left Him alone for while. Not permanently!
