It definitely was a try ! and in my opinion had it been given that would have changed the course of the game. Still no use crying over spilt milk, our boys did us proud but hats off to S.A. they played a great tournament and deserved to win.
Roll on 2011 !! |

Every commentator i have heard on the Radio have addmitted that it was not a try...his leg touched the line. Its refreshing how Rugby people accept defeat....unlike footballers and thier fans.
England done thier Country proud, they achieved more than was expected of them, came back from a 36-0 defeat to be in with a chance to win up to the last few minutes.

well I never heard the radio commentary Eddie, only saw the re-runs on the tv...I still think it was a try but obviously the ref's decision is final and we have to accept that.
I agree with you on the conduct of rugby players/supporters up against their football counterparts (and you know what a keen football fan I am ) but you're absolutely right, they put a lot of football supporters/players to shame. Perhaps that's why Rugby is known as the *Gentleman's* game. |
