can you help me - i'm in a mess
i need to know your opinions on this please -
if you are married and sleep with someone else who is not a christian - would you lose your salvation?  |

Whether the person you sleep with is a Christian or not, if you are married and sleep with someone else you have committed adultery - but you must know that. Of course God will forgive you if you are sorry - again, I am sure you know that. Are you a WUM by any chance?

sorry - but i'm new- what is a WUM?
ok - i am not talking about just once - can you be a born again christian and have a continuous relationship sleeping with someone and not want to give it up even if you are still married- or would this be bad enough to lose your salvation?? |

| As VP says sleeping with another person if you (or they) are married to someone else is adultery. Although the Bible doesn't condone adultery neither does it say that it is unforgivable. Adulterous relationships can be ended. If you are in a mess because of adultery it's not the end of the world although it might spell the end of a marriage (or two). |

To be blunt...if you? are married and sleeping (having sex)with another person then yes you are an adulterer. You are also deceiving your wife. This often means that the adulterer has to spin a web of lies.
You need to repent and seek Gods forgiveness. Adultery is not the unforgivable sin,but does cause great pain and sorrow to all involved. You say you are in a mess. Can you explain further?.

A Christian should not marry a non-Christian, but if he/she does, sleeping together is not sinful.
If non-Christians marry & one of the couple is converted, the full married relationship should continue. (1 Cor. 7, 1 Peter 3.)
If by "someone else" you mean adultery, then you should consider yourself unsaved whether the other is "Christian" or not. Both are in deliberate sin. If you are truly a Christian, you will repent & separate from your sleeping partner, & return to your marriage.
