I know we have touched on this subject before, but I've just read this on the BBC website
Prince Harry
It seems after all the kerfuffle about whether he should go or not *they* are now going to review the situation again.
I realise his joining the army and being sent to Iraq was always going to be controversial , I also realise that the very fact that he is there will make him and the men serving under him a potential terrorist target..but what the heck did they allow him to go to Sandhurst for in the first place ????
I admire the bloke for wanting to do his bit for his country, but surely if safety were an issue he would have been better advised to join the airforce or navy ? That's not to undermine what our navy/airforce personnel do but they are not normally involved in one to one street fighting, if you see what I mean ?
Just doesn't make sense to me. |

I think that if there was the slightest possibility that his presence there might endanger the men under his command - more than they already are endangered I mean - they he should not have been allowed to go :( _________________ Europeforum, everyone welcome :) |
