Having read the Telegraph's version of events (I trust it more than the Daily Mail's) it has to be said that it is only some schools that are "dropping the Holocaust". It is not the case that schools in general have chosen (or been told) to avoid the subject. Teachers in multicultural schools do need clearer guidance about how to tackle 'controversial' issues. Seeing this as an example of appeasing Muslims or being politically correct is a kneejerk reaction to the headline not the detail. History, it is said, is always written by the winner.

I have never in my life come across a Muslim, and I have known many, who has denied the holocaust. This is too ridiculous.

i certainly don't trust Murdoch though.

Vix, they even deny that the temple mount was a jewish site or that a temple once stood there..despite all the historic evidence to the contrary.

It is necessary to really understand Islams position on the Jews, it's a mightily serious thing.

The self same presidant of Iran sat with other Arab league Nations last month (I think) and said that the Holocaust was a figment of the Wests imagination also the Head Muslim helped Hitler in more ways than one.

That site is so biased it proves nothing

And anything from the daily mail is not worth consideration

In short i find this thread more of the anti muslim rhetoric that is disgracing our society at the moment.

Matter of opinion of course but what I always found so frustrating about the Mail (and my mother in law took it, so I read it at her house), is that it is the only newspaper whose readers really seem to believe what they read. I think this is because a lot of their features are quite well written by articulate people and the Mail appeals to the respectable low brow because it is not as vulgar as the other tabloids. So the readers think it must be right. You don't come across that amongst readers of any other paper.

I accept that some fanatical Muslims deny the holocaust but then there are fanatical 'other people' who try and deny it too, no-one believes them. Most Muslims know perfectly well it happened. I've only known fairly moderate ones anyway but plenty of them.
