My request was simply to remove a posting that was not relevant to the topic. I did not disagree with John's post but the discussion is on the intertestamental books, rather than the post-Constantinian church. |
I didn't personally see the post in question but have been given an understanding of its general content and the intent it apparently contained.
Reading through the latter portions of this thread, it seems clear to me that the recent exchanges between Isthmian and Theo, have brought the thread into the realms of the post-Constantinian church and specifically how that has had an effect on both the intertestamental books along with various other received texts.

Every person here is first and foremost a member, with the same rights, privileges and expectations of courtesy and freedom of expression due to one and all.
The fact that a member may, or may not be in some position of authority bares little if any influence on their rights as stated above as members.
John graciously acceded to your request and removed his post to avoid offence, others may not have been so accommodating, I suspect I wouldn't have been.
Meandering way off topic is a problem in all forums but topic development has to be an acceptable tool of discussion. Perhaps any future comments regarding posts should not be focused on any one person but should be made to the Moderator, whose purpose is to deal with issues with a balanced impartiality that the 'heat of the moment' reaction is perhaps not capable of. _________________ ".... love thy neighbour as thyself." is the hardest thing I have ever done.... |
