XLP binding?

My mom recently was given a laptop(notebook).
There seems to be a problem with the router. Ever since she's been using it both of us lose internet connection. I have a hard enough time with my own system + this new thing has been a challenge. We tried connecting different cables to no avail Icon_sad

Of course I did not turn off my modem thru all this, but did turn off my computer.
I feel bad as mom was excited about learning how to email+now I hope she doesn't get too discouraged 'til we can try another router.
Anyway, I would get the error message no xlp binding for the browser when I tried clicking on the Firefox icon on my desktop. I went into my email+found a site with a link, clicked on it + ,amaged to get back on the net.
What exactly is an xlp binding???

Never heard the term Nancy.
It should be remembered that error messages are not designed to be useful in any way and are usually the product of the twisted mind/humour of a technician trying to destroy the sanity of the world.... Icon_wink
